Teaching for Transformation

Mission: To further the knowledge of the Hebrew Bible in its language and land, especially among those engaged in Bible translation around the world. In this way we hope to help disciple these students in greater understanding of God’s word, so His word will grow in their hearts and help them make disciples in their own communities (Matt. 28:19-20).

Our Family

We come from the Netherlands and Washington State and met as volunteers in Jerusalem. Our three children were all born in the Jerusalem surrounds. As a family, we serve in Narkis Street Congregation in Jerusalem in many ways, including teaching adults and children. We enjoy exploring nature and archeological sites, swimming, and biking, and also just relaxing at home and with friends.

"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it." Psalm 127:1

We know this is God’s project. For thousands of years He has been speaking to humanity, and we know that “the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations” (Psalm 33:11).
